STEP 1
Numbing and a proper look
We examine the tooth and usually take a small X-ray to see how deep the decay actually goes — this is what tells us whether a filling is enough. We then numb the area with local anaesthetic so the tooth and gum are fully asleep before we start.
STEP 2
Removing the decay
